"Easy to Use Productivity Enhancing Daily To Do Corkboard Style Reminder"
If you're the type of person who always is (I mean constantly) on the computer and you just have way too many papers and files and tasks then MyCorkboard does the best job keeping you on track. In other words it's perfect for people who multitask so much they wind up frequently sidetracked and taking too long solving problems all day in one area and forgetting there are things that need to get done.
I set it to pop up when I hit the F9 key (make your own hot-key combination to bring it up), and it shuts down whenever you hit any letter key on your computer.
So I make a task in a sticky note and line them up in a column on the left hand side of the cork board. Then when I get one task completed I move it to the 3rd column, but if it's partially done I move it to the 2nd column so I know it's not finished.
The 4th column has the clock and calendar on top, and an ordered list for items (say shopping for instance), and for other things. You can overlap the sticky notes or make the fonts smaller or different in any individual sticky note for writing longer messages. You can write a sticky note as long as yo want (let's say a few paragraphs?) but you'll only see the first sentence or two unless you double click it into editing mode to see the rest.
I've been using this one and off for about 13 years and KEEP COMING BACK. I'd *like* it to sync with my phone (a separate synchronizing Android or iPhone app would be great), and maybe have an alarm in it so I don't get sidetracked and don't notice the time going by... but I can always use a standard timer or countdown timer app for that.
I give it 5 stars for what it is. A solid productivity tool and very easy to use reminder. I only use mine with the clock and calendar up in the right hand corner, and sticky notes.
